TWIN STATE SPEEDWAY RACES TOWARD 2006
OCTOBER 10, 2005

Claremont NH - With the 2005 Race Season at a close and the Awards Banquet scheduled for November 20th at the Lake Morey Inn, Twin State Speedway 2006 track improvements are underway. Cranes have been at the track and are taking down the complete lighting units for servicing and new bulbs installed. These lights will be fully adjustable for changing of angels. This will brighten up the on-track viewing area for all.

Already for 2006, Twin State Speedway has hired 10 wheel dump trucks and is hauling in 100's of yards of dirt to the speedway to enhance and enlarge the pit parking area. This year as racers come into the pit area, parking will be available on both sides of the road. We must keep adding parking space to keep up with the additional racecars coming into the pit area. This area will be grass with new trees being planted to keep the track image.

Also in 2006, Twin State Speedway will be adding a basketball court area for the kids. This will give them something active to do between races. Twin State Speedway is promoting family racing with some events taking in over 500 kids in attendance. Also planned for 2006 will be the new Hospitality Tent area. This will be a special area for sponsors as well as businesses to host special functions during a night at the races. It is available for area businesses to use to promote business and employee relationships. Businesses can show employees appreciation with the rental of one of our new hospitality areas.

The 2006 Twin State Speedway Race Schedule is in place starting with our Car Show at Fleury's Sales scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd, with practice on April 23rd, and the first race of the season kicking off on Friday, April 28th and ending the season on September 8, 2006. This will give Twin State Speedway a full 20-week schedule of NASCAR Short Track racing. Racing will be held on Friday nights, with the only change being rain dates scheduled for Sunday's at 7PM, instead of Wednesday nights. Fleury said that Wednesday nights worked fine but it was just hard to race and be back there for Friday's.

As improvements continue, Twin State Speedway has expanded advertising space for signage, offering businesses an opportunity to purchase advertising space at a reasonable rate. If interested please contact the Marketing Department at Twin State Speedway at (603) 543-3160.
