TVMRS WILL END THE 2005 SEASON AT LEE USA SPEEDWAY'S OKTOBERFEST
OCTOBER 17, 2005

The True Value Modified Racing Series (TVMRS) will end the 2005 season at Lee USA Speedway's Oktoberfest. The sophomore year for TVMRS has proven to be successful and an icon in open wheel racing that is here to stay. Kirk Alexander will defend his 2004 championship just 24 points ahead of NASCAR's Regional Champion Peter Daniels coming into the last race. Although Daniels has yet to win a race in the 2005 season consistent finish's has kept him within reaching distance of Alexander.

Alexander brings home 11 wins in the 2005 hoping to clinch his 12th at Lee USA Speedway. Among Alexander there were five different winners in the season. Les Hinckley opened the season with a victory at Monadnock Speedway in April, others that visited victory lane in 2005 were Louie Mechalides, David Pinkham, Dwight Jarvis. Most recently Andy Seuss captured his first victory in a modified at Seekonk Speedway.

The series will celebrate the close of the season on November 12th for their awards banquet where the champion will be crowned along with other awards such as rookie of the year, most popular driver and most improved driver. The series has had a great year and looks forward to the 2006 season. While there will be no racing from November - March check www.modifiedracingseries.com for updates on what is in store for 2006.
