Claremont NH - Twin State Speedway is set to honor its seven champions at the Lake
Morey Resort on November 19, 2005. Track Champions include Nascar Pro-Late Model
#24 Todd Patnode, Super Street #27 Chris Bergeron, Pro-Quad #21 Bill Russell,
Lightning Stock #00 Mike Burke, Wild Cat #33 David Aiken, Figure 8 #15 Rob Olney
III, and the first ever Youth Sportsman #04 Joey Jarvis. In addition to
recognizing the track champions, TSS will also acknowledge the top ten in each
division with enormous 5 feet tall trophies. Additional awards including the Sunny
Fleury Outstanding Driver, Most Popular Driver, Rookie of the Year, Mike Brousseau
Total Dedication, Most Improved Driver and the prestigious Hall of Fame will also be
presented.
Rookie of the Year honorees include Lightning Stock driver #22 Mike
Coutermarsh, Pro-Quad Champ #21 Bill Russell, Super Street #42 Josh Currier,
and Pro-Late Model driver #98 Adam Bates. The Sonny Fleury Award is presented
each year on behalf of Sonny Fleury, the co-founder and past promoter of
Claremont Speedway. The award goes to a driver in each division that exhibited
great personal achievements during the season and is someone that Sonny would
have been proud of. For three separate weeks during the season, TSS fans
submitted ballots to place their vote for the Most Popular Driver Awards. This
season saw the ballot box stuffed with a record number of votes, with over 40
different driver names garnering attention. A sampling of drivers include
Chris Lyman, Rob Olney, Dan Lafoe, Jeremy Zullo, Geroge Fisher Jr, Jim Rhodes,
Aaron Whipple, Mike Burke, Todd Patnode, Guy Caron, Mark Hayward, Aaron
Fellows, Rick Lambert, Rich Fournier, Walt Harris, Bill Russell, Joey!
Jarvis,
Ben Poland, Chris Reindeau, Chris Thomas, Tara Tarbell, Chris Bergeron, Lenny
Silver, Ron Menard, and Rick and David Bly. Most Popular Drivers will receive
beautiful jackets sponsored by New England Racing Fuels. The Most Improved Driver
Award is presented in each division and is based on point standing improvement from
2004 to 2005. The final ceremony of the evening is the Hall of Fame presentation.
The Annual Awards Dinner and Banquet begins at 5pm with a cocktail hour,
and continues with dinner being served at 6pm. The awards ceremony
follows after dinner, with dancing to Merrill’s DJ Services to close out
